Young Girls Held As Soldiers In DR Congo

Children are still being recruited and abused in conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

“Used as combatants, labour and sex slaves, victims of months-long violence and rape, girls are all too rarely freed by the armed forces and groups,” UNICEF said in a news release in Goma, eastern DRC, marking the International Day against the use of Child Soldiers, noting that only 20 per cent of freed children under the agency’s care were girls. via YubaNet.com.

Please read about the use of children as soldiers and spread the word about this horrific abuse.

How can one become a volunteer with organizations that advocate against human trafficking?

Just how low can society fall; when they are using young children as soldiers. ( I am an old fashioned romantic ); especially young girls’. Please spare a thought for young innocent, vulnerable missing British Citizen Madeleine McCann, who disappeared from Portugal in May 2007. With everyones help we can bring young Madeleine back to her loving family in the United Kingdom, thankyou. GOD PROTECT YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU MADELEINE.

A big thankyou. I am sure Madeleine and her family will appreciate this. ( I just keep praying for Madeleine’s safe return ).
