Pornography, Prostitution And Child Sex Trafficking: An Interview with Patrick A. Trueman
On May 14, 2009, Patrick A. Trueman and I sat down to discuss what we both agreed was the most evil form of slavery – child sex trafficking. Our meeting took place in Washington, D.C at a small table in the restaurant of The Washington Marriott. It seems fitting in retrospect. A few miles away and 144 years earlier, on February 1, 1865, Abraham Lincoln signed the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution, abolishing slavery in the United States of America.
We are all taught that slavery in the United States officially ended that day. It didn’t.
Partrick Trueman is the former Chief of the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Criminal Division, U. S. Department of Justice. Mr. Trueman has spent over 2o years in the battle against child sex trafficking and has some very strong opinions about the correlation between pornography, prostitution and the child sex trade. You may agree or disagree with his conclusions, but when you finish listening to this conversation, you will not be able to argue that you are unaware of how pervasive child sex trafficking is right here in the United States of America. This is a very frank conversation. If you are easily offended or are simply not ready to open your eyes to this issue, don’t bother clicking on the links below. If you are ready to get a more complete understanding of child slavery in America, please make the time necessary to fully digest the two clips of audio that follow.
Intro to Patrick Trueman’s history with child exploitation & child sex trafficking. (4:30)
The next piece of audio represents the rest of the recorded conversation. It is almost 50 minutes long. I had originally wanted to chop this up into several parts. I posted a small excerpt, 60 Seconds On Child Trafficking, a few days after our time together and had delayed posting the remainder until I could spend the time necessary to do intelligently split the conversation. In listening to it again, I realized this would be a mistake. Each piece of this conversation needs to be heard in it’s the context. There are some very sensitive issues that could easily be misinterpreted otherwise. So, while I realize that 50 minutes is a significant time investment, I am certain you will find the conversation as enlightening as I did.

Our daughter with our support tried to save our grandchildren from abuse and child porn and she was crushed in a dishonest venal courtroom. We pray every day for their safety. They were placed with the perpetrator – we believe there were payoffs to authorities. The police department who believed our daughter warned her of the courts and divorce attorneys. We thought she and her children would be protected but the system failed them. How can the little children be protected with such chicanery taking place behind closed doors and ‘under the table’! We grieve everyday for our little grandchildren now ages 8, 6 and 3.
Child trafficking and child porn is an intrinsic evil – how can it ever be stopped?!
H. – your story haunts me.
well, the first time i heard of sex traffiking was in latin news. Mothers would sell their daughters to men for money. Then, men had them prostitute themselves in the street. Young girls were obligated to do this because they were in a different country without any help.I’m glad people are trying to get this out in the light.
Jeff, or anyone, I live in Atlanta now, how can I get involved?? The first time I heard of Sex trafficking and modern-day child slavery was in college when I read an article about a woman in Thailand. I was totally abhorred by how this young woman was treated and that men, and women, could do this to other people. I know it is going on in the US just as much, so I want to help out here. Thanks so much,
Kris
It is very sad that more is not being done to protect the children, and to stop trafiking totally.
I have three children who are stolen from me by their Arabian father and his girlfriends, and his people.
As I began my search for my children, the FBI shut me down, and blocked me from getting assistance from the police in finding my children. This was done at the request of my child’s father and possible family contacts in Arabia. He wanted to have a child with me, but I said ,”no.” However, he and his women and people, followed his demands, and began to block me from finding my children.
During this time, I was working on a lucretive teak project, and school project.
I was being harrassed daily by people connected to Fares and his goup, and others who were breaking into my home to steal my lucretive businesses from me, and to block me from finding out about my chidren.
They eventually stole my many business deals, fro me. They also stole my three precious children frm me. The FBI knew about my children and blocked me from having them in my life. They sent men into my home and into my life to purposefully block me from finding my children, and those same people blocked my communication on my computer and stole my lucretive deals, and helped others to steal them too. I had the police identify the men who were constantly following me, breaking into my home, stealing from me, and blocking me from finding my children. It is very sad that we live in a world where people are stealing children and getting assistance from some in the government to assist them.
I had the police identify those men on May 17, 2003, regardinag the many thefts to my home, and the thefts of my eggs. The police, at the request of the FBI, blocked me in 2003 from finding my children despite the fact that I had the police identifiy those men on 5-17-2003.
They repeatedly broke into my home, stole my emails,
deleted my writing, changed some writing, and eliminated other one, deleted phone messages, and blocked my emails, along with interfering in my communication with others on the internet and telephone.
So, some from Arabia not only stole my three children from me, they stole all of my businesses, and had the assistance from some from our government to do so.
They made lies made up about me to discredit me, and posted much to destroy my name.
They harrassed my life in a very very cruel way, and blocked me from finding my children, and blocked me from finding out that my very lucretive projects were stolen
We need an overhaul in some of our government agencies.
Perhaps with this new Administration, there will be people and organizations put in place to bring back the honor to our country that we once had, and to be there to help all of the people all the time, and not some of the people as they choose.
May God bless.
Hi! I would like to become activitely involved in this fight in Chicago and would like some recommendations as to where to start, good organizations, ect. Thank you for bringing light to this cause!
I know of a very difficult situation of 5 Liberian sisters obtained from WACSN in Monrovia (for a fee of $30,000 to $40,000) in 2005 and brought to the US by their adoptive family. In 2005 ages ranged from 3 months to 12 years of age. The family resides in rural western Oklahoma and 3 adult members have ongoing court hearings for felony charges, including rape by instrument. A fourth adult member has charges of misdemeanor actions. One child was given to a family member in another state when she rebelled against being tied to a bed, made to sleep outside at night, forced to fast for days and raped. The family has not denied any accusations, simply made excuses; they even signed confessions after DA investigation. The girls are home schooled, isolated without friends, social contacts or extended family.
Their father in Liberia, was approached in a market place by someone soliciting for WACSN who promised a good life in the US for his girls. A civil case for the wellbeing of the girls and the criminal cases have been ongoing for over a year while the girls remain in the home with the four adults of the adoptive family and are seldom seen. Local judge refused to rule in the civil hearing until the criminal case is settled. DHS took custody of the children one year ago but chooses to leave them in the home of these confessed abusers. They declare that the child who was abused in the charges is no longer in the home. We propose that there is substantial concern for the welfare of the remaining four girls. There have not been any rape tests and interviews with the girls and the children say they are happy and well cared for when questioned.
Letters from the girl that was given away, signed confessions, witness testimonies, a witness’s 3 year diary, reports from DHS and counselors of the fifth sister in Illinois, letters from this fifth sisters foster parent in Illinois, a video taped interview with this child, DA investigator report, a 28 page report of witness testimonies and formal charges are not enough to over ride the decision of local DHS and get the girls removed from the home – at least until the cases are settled.
A Liberian American attorney from Atlanta has stepped forward to offer pro bono services to the children. DHS refuses any cooperation with him and the legal process is dragging slowly with his paper work to the Oklahoma Bar. The Liberian American community is very frustrated along with a local group of activists who have been trying to save these girls from this home for 3 years.
Any advice or help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
Linda Rous

Stop prostitution and the explotation of children. It hurts all of us. Prostitutes carry flesh eating bacteria that can eat off people’s legs and organs. It is incurable. Illegal aliens are using lights and luring children into forrests to abuse. We must stop them now. They are killing us all. God bless you.
There are also some men using cigarettes to lure children and women into sex plus addiction. They use them to commit sexual acts for for them. They use bright white lights to do this. Prostitution hurts everyone. Your relative could be standing next to one and get airborne bacteria plus be dead by morning.
this interview was invaluable to me. As a father of two who has gone down the path from playboy to prepubescent imagery and then faced suicidal and self destructive thoughts and actions I have finally stopped thinking about how bad of a person I am and started on the road to recovery. pornography is intrinsically bad for me at any level of softness as for me for some god forsaken reason it is a slippery slope. in life i am a humanitarian. yet when it came to sexualized imagery I slowly submerged into the worst of inhumanity. i cannot explain or legitimize my past actions. i worry about the future and after listening to this interview I realize I am just an ugly statistic within a massive epidemic. it was creepy how directly i felt described in this interview. uncaring.. callous and out of touch with reality of how the imagery i “enjoyed” (until I felt urges like killing myself or stabbing my eyes out) came to be. i disagree with the notion that if you look at the imagery then you will be driven to create it yourself. i can believe it happens. however in my particular case the imagery remained online and not something real or acted out on my part. I could emotionally distance an image but a kid is a kid and not a sexual object to me. somehow a disconnect via the electronic medium and the searching process occurs. In the fog of porn I did not think of the imagery as “real” in terms of suffering and to complicate matters a lot of what I have seen was definitely not real. i used to have a life without anything to hide or be ashamed of, now I am standing on a pile of suffering and asking myself how i got there. hate wont change me.. love will. thank you for this website and the work you are doing. someday i hope to tell my story publicly and help pull others like me who are lost in the fog of porn to pull themselves up and out and into the light.. right now i am not there. I am still working on regrowing the brain patterns. these things take time. patience.
That was a brave comment, Forester. I wish you much success on your journey.
Forrester, God bless you save the children. All of that crap is fake. Date real women and have a normal relationship. We need more good people like you to change the world.
